The Story
House of Viridian started from a simple observation: the systems we build to connect people increasingly capture them instead. Identity verification that tracks. Factories that exclude. Registries that corrupt. Government AI that cannot explain its decisions.
Each of Viridian's seven pillars addresses a domain where sovereignty has been eroded. From iRecord's consent architecture to Limbic Literacy's defence against neurological exploitation, every venture is designed to pass one test:
“Is this system safe, dignified, and sovereign enough for Priya to use in 2040?”
Priya is a real person — the daughter of Viridian's founder, born in 2012. When she inherits this world, the systems we leave behind must serve her, not the other way around.
Viridian operates from House of Viridian OÜ, registered in Estonia, with a presence in Lisbon. We chose Estonia for its digital-first governance. We chose Lisbon for its humanity.

Founder & Architect
Jacob Huibers is an interim manager, author, and architect of sovereign systems. His career spans two decades of transforming Dutch public-sector organisations — from municipalities to national agencies — where he saw firsthand how systems designed to help people often end up controlling them instead.
His books form the intellectual foundation of House of Viridian. Each addresses a domain where sovereignty has been eroded, and each informs a Viridian pillar.
